Day 8 - Tucumcari NM to Santa Fe NM - 178 miles

Not much to see on this leg, but we wanted to spend a few days in Santa Fe to give the road weary a chance to recharge.

Home of The Blue Hole, a crystal clear artesian well that is 81 ft. deep and a constant 61 degrees, year round. Now home to scuba schools it was located just off the old Route 66 alignment and attracted many a dusty traveler.

...and what's a drive through without a couple of vintage business signs?

We decided to take the Pre-1937 alignment of Route 66 into Santa Fe which didn't leave us many stops.  However, there definitely was a change in scenery.
